Charles was the cook at the Old Lodge during the Elizabethan era. He had previously been Chef's assistant at Sept-Tours.
He has a terse nature, and doesn't seem to approve of anybody. Charles also has a strong fondness for drinking. He teaches Diana how to make a caudle to treat headaches.
